Xherdan Shaqiri Set to Finish MLS Season with Chicago Fire: No Formal Offers Received

Although multiple reports have linked Shaqiri to return to Europe, no formal bid has been made for the Switzerland international according to club insiders.

Despite facing a challenging spell in Chicago, the 32-year-old who is on a $8 million contract with Chicago Fire is determined to finish the 2024 MLS Season on a high note.

With the MLS Transfer window ending on August 15^th the Fire are preparing adequately for the remaining 9 matches of the season with their captain.

Shaqiri was spotted training with the rest of the squad late last week at the team’s training facility at Seat Geek Stadium in Bridgeview.
