The ex-Liverpool player was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday following his outstanding display in their 2-1 victory against Houston Dynamo FC at Soldier Field.
The designated player scored his second goal of the 2024 MLS Campaign and notched an assist for Brian Gutierrez to propel Chicago Fire to back-to-back victories at home.
Despite facing criticism for the team’s previous struggles, the former Bayern Munich star showcased his talent and leadership as he led Chicago Fire to victory against their MLS counterparts from Houston at the lakefront.
Chicago Fire will be on the road in New York when they play Quest to Red Bulls on April 13th, Kick-off at Red Bull Arena is scheduled for 6:30 pm CT.
