Chicago Fire trades, Kacper Przybylko to FC Lugano.

Chicago Fire FC have offloaded striker Kacper Przybylko to Swiss Super League side, FC Lugano.

Przybylko who joined the fire in 2022 from Philadelphia Union departs with a notable record of 44 goals in 133 matches across both MLS Clubs.

Chicago Sporting Director Georg Heitz explained in a statement.

“We have been planning to move Kacper prior to the start of the 2024 season, this transfer will provide Kacper with an opportunity to play in a competitive European League”,

Kacper departure from Chicago Fire was influenced by the acquisition of Belgian prolific striker Hugo Cuypers this offseason, pushing Kacper down the pecking order.

The Fire’s roster also includes strikers Tom Barlow and Georgios Koutsias.
