Despite Chicago Fire’s 3-1 defeat to LAFC in the ongoing Coachella tournament in California over the weekend, Fire’s Head Coach, Frank Klopas is remaining adamant, emphasizing the valuable lessons learned by his team.

Acknowledging the lackluster performance against LAFC, Klopas sees the defeat as an opportunity to grow ahead of the commencement of the 2024 MLS Season.

“This preseason has been good, we are just three to four weeks in, and the team is much better and sharper. We are playing better teams and better competition, MLS Competition, there are a lot of positives. This is a good opportunity to learn and grow.”

Chicago will next face Minnesota United in the Club’s third match of the Coachella Valley Invitational at 4 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif
